Laser Skin Resurfacing
(Laser Peel)
Return To Laser Peel Home Page.

How Is Laser Peel
Performed?
In laser skin resurfacing, a beam of laser energy is used to
vaporize the upper layer of damaged skin with accurate
precision.  As new cells form during the healing process, a
smoother, tighter, younger-looking skin surface appears.

During the procedure, the activated laser beam is carefully
passed back and forth over the skin until the safest level is
reached that will make the wrinkles or scars less visible.
When imperfections are deep, Dr. Behmand may
recommend that the resurfacing be performed in two or
more stages. Currently, the CO2 and Erbium lasers are the
most effective and the safest in laser skin resurfacing
technology.
